Function
You will be part of a dynamic team of four people and will handle the incoming transport orders. As a forwarder, you will be responsible for the operational and administrative follow-up of shipments, primarily export or cross-trade with foreign agents. You will manage your files from A to Z. Booking and invoicing of shipments are also part of your tasks, as well as preparing quotations and filling in tenders when required.
This includes, among other things:
You are the first point of contact for the customer
You handle forwarding files from A to Z
You check the information provided by the customer and request additional details if necessary
You are responsible for the correct processing of orders in the company’s forwarding system
You maintain contact with customers, agents, carriers, shipping lines, and authorities
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, or have equivalent experience
- Experience with project cargo is a plus; this vacancy is also open to more experienced profiles
- You are a problem solver, with a passion for working with customers and an eye for detail
- You are always able to keep your focus and drive, even during short deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and tech-savvy
- You are fluent, both written and spoken, in Dutch, French and English
